Murthal Haveli (Dhaba) – Best Indian food on Delhi Karnal Highway (NH-1)

15102010185 300x225 Murthal Haveli (Dhaba) – Best Indian food on Delhi Karnal Highway (NH 1)

Murthal Haveli, A part of heritage village (jallandhar) group is recently being opened on Delhi Karnal Highway (NH-1) from delhi. The restaurant offers excellent Indian (North India food) food in the region at least. While having food you will experience true Punjabi culture in and around you with the ambience & music being played in the background. There is ample parking space & if you don't want to have proper meal you can have quick snack from the counters outside the main dining area.  There are nice white sofas in the open where you can enjoy a quick bite (like Pao bhajji, Matar kulcha Samosas & many more) while on your way to Punjab or Himachal from New Delhi. There are nice fountains & lighting effect just adds an extra something to your food. In Breakfast you can enjoy Hot Parantha's with butter & Dahi, Poori Channe with authentic Lassi.

On the Menu there is almost everything that one can imagine in north Indian food. My personal favourites would include Dum aaloo Kashmiri, Rajmah Jammu wale & Pudina Parantha’s. For Rice lovers Rajmah Chawal (with loads of Ghee) are a must. The Service is very fast and you expect to go in have your food and get out within half an hour. In deserts fruit custard & jalebi’s stand apart, In-fact they serve the most crisp Jalebi’s you would have ever had in a long time. The food is not expensive as well as price for two would be Rs 400 (max).

All in all a mouth watering experience at Murthal Haveli & with a promise to re-visit for sure. One thing to watch out for is that the Original Haveli is the one which comes on you left hand side while going towards karnal. There is another fake Haveli (Namesake)  right opposite to it with Pathetic food & services.
